your privacy
what this little world at sleepwalk.ink knows about you, and what it forgets.

We don't ask who you are. There are no accounts, no passwords, no email.
Tonight you are "the fox", "the umbrella" or "the potato". That name is made up on the spot and it is all anyone sees.
What you say disappears. What you pin stays only while that dream is open.
What we never collect
- Your name, email, phone number, or address. There is nowhere to type them, and we ask you not to write them into the dream.
- Your location, contacts, photos, or anything else on your device.
- Payment details. The dream world is free.
What happens to the things you write
Speech bubbles are passed from your screen to the other dreamers in your room and then forgotten. They are not written down anywhere, not by us and not by our server.
Pinned notes are kept in the server's short memory only as long as that dream room is open, so that someone who arrives a little later can still read them. When the room empties, the notes go with it. Notes are checked automatically for things like phone numbers and links before they are shown, to keep everyone anonymous.
Because the room is shared, other dreamers can read what you write while they are there. Please don't write anything you wouldn't say to a stranger on a park bench.
What stays on your own device
Your browser keeps a few small things so the dream feels familiar when you come back: the paths you walked (so your past self can wander as a ghost), your own pinned notes, and whether you left the sound on. This lives only in your browser. We can't see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
The technical bits, in plain words
When your device connects to our server, the server sees the usual things any website sees: your internet address and the time you connected. We use that only to keep the service running and to protect it from abuse, and it is not tied to a name because we don't have one. Our hosting provider may keep those connection records for a short time as part of running the machine.
The handwriting on the page comes from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those fonts, Google's servers see the request, the same way they would on many other websites. Google's own privacy policy applies to that request.
We don't use cookies, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind.
Children
The dream world is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian before wandering in. If we learn that a child under 13 has shared personal details, we will remove them.
Your choices
- You can dream alone at any time. The entry card has a link for it, and then nothing you do leaves your device.
- You can mute any other dreamer by tapping their puppet. They are never told.
- You can leave by closing the page. Nothing of you remains on the server once your room closes.
If something is wrong
If you saw something in the dream that worried you, or you want to ask us anything about privacy, write to hello@sleepwalk.ink. We read every message.
When this page changes
If we ever change how the dream world treats your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters, we will say so on the entry card.
This page is written in plain language on purpose. It describes what the dream world actually does. It does not replace the laws of the place you live in, which always apply.
