What the dream world is

The dream world, at sleepwalk.ink, is a small, free, hand drawn place where anonymous visitors walk through paper scenes, talk in speech bubbles, and leave short notes. It is made by one person as a labour of love. It is not a social network, a messaging service, or a place to store anything important.

Sometimes the dream turns dark or strange for a few pages. Nothing in it is real, and waking always works.

Who may visit

You need to be at least 13 years old to wander in. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using services like this without a parent's consent, that age applies instead. If you are visiting on behalf of a company or a school, you promise you are allowed to accept these rules for them.

How to behave

Everyone here is anonymous, and we ask you to keep it that way. While you are in the dream, please don't:

• share anyone's real name, phone number, email, address, or any other detail that could identify a person, including yourself;
• harass, threaten, or bully other dreamers, or try to find out who they are;
• write anything hateful, sexual, violent, or illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
• pretend to be someone else, or pretend to be the person who runs the dream world;
• try to break the service, flood it with messages, or reach parts of it that aren't meant for visitors.

An automatic filter removes obvious phone numbers, links, and slurs before anyone sees them, but no filter is perfect. If someone bothers you, tap their puppet to make them fade. They won't know.

What you write is yours, and your responsibility

You keep whatever rights you have in the words you write. By writing them in a shared room, you allow us to show them to the other dreamers in that room and to keep pinned notes in memory while the room is open, which is the only way the dream can work. We don't claim your words, sell them, or use them for anything else.

You are responsible for what you write. If your words cause harm to someone, that is between you and them; we only carry the paper.

We may step in

We can remove a note, close a room, or stop a visitor from connecting if we believe these rules are being broken or the service is being harmed. We don't have to warn you first, and because there are no accounts, we can't always tell you why. We will always try to be fair.

The dream is offered as it is

We give you the dream world for free and as it is, with all its imperfections. We can't promise it will always be available, that it will work on every device, that it will be free of mistakes, or that anything in it will be kept. Rooms close, notes vanish, and the whole thing may change or disappear at any time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about the dream world and we are not responsible for any loss, damage, or upset that comes from using it or from something another dreamer said or did. Where the law does not allow us to limit responsibility completely, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid to use the dream world, which is nothing.

Some places give you rights that no set of house rules can take away. Nothing here is meant to take those rights from you.

If someone claims against us because of you

If your words or actions in the dream world lead to a claim, complaint, or cost against the person who runs it, you agree to make it right, including covering the reasonable costs of dealing with it. In plain terms: if you cause the trouble, the trouble is yours.

Things that belong to us

The drawings, the music, the words on these pages, the name, and the code behind the dream world belong to the person who makes it, or to the people who let us use them. You may enjoy them in the dream. Please don't copy them, sell them, or build your own service on them without asking.

Ending the visit

You can leave whenever you like by closing the page. We can end your visit or the whole service whenever we need to. When the visit ends, the parts of these rules about responsibility and about your words keep applying.

Where the rules live

These rules are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and any disagreement that we can't settle by talking will be handled by the courts of the Philippines, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Before anything formal, please write to us first. Most problems are smaller than they look.

Changes and contact

If we change these rules, we will update the date at the top, and we will mention it on the entry card if the change matters. Continuing to visit after a change means you accept it.

These rules are written in plain language on purpose and they are meant to be read. If any part of them can't be enforced where you live, the rest still stands.
